Altitude

One of the hardest hiking routes in the Everest region is the Chola Pass trek. You need to be prepared for challenging hikes due to the terrain's diversity and difficulty. The trek's passage of Chola Pass (5,420 meters) is one of its most challenging parts.

The trek is challenging because it is difficult to acclimate to high altitudes due to decreased oxygen levels. To lower the dangers related to altitude, progressive acclimatization is required.

Weather

You can not expect similar weather and temperatures for the whole trek. It differs from every single day and location.

You can expect mild weather during the autumn (September - November) and spring (March to May) for the Cho La Pass trek, as the temperature is very favorable and supportive for hikers.

Trekking in winter and Rainy seasons may be a bit more challenging and need extra preparation, and we do not recommend it.
